Mino Caggiula Architects is looking for a Senior Architect

To support the growth of Mino Caggiula Architects Srl, we are looking for an architect based in Milan who will be responsible for assigned projects, from feasibility study to obtaining the building permit, with a particular focus on the design phase.

Main responsibilities:

  • Design from feasibility study to construction license
  • Management of project teams and coordination of external professionals
  • Verification of compliance with safety standards and local planning regulations
  • Determining and meeting budgets and deadlines
  • Meeting with clients to discuss their needs

Educational and professional background, work experience and key skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or corresponding education
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position
  • Excellent design skills
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Deep knowledge of design software: Archicad 2D and 3D, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Qualification as a BIM Specialist / Coordinator is a preferred requirement.(Building Information Modeling)

IMPORTANT NOTE – only applications with Advanced Skills with Archicad 2D / 3D are considered.

  • Native Italian speaker
  • Knowledge of English proficiency level spoken and written (C2)

    In order to support the growth of Mino Caggiula Italy, Mino Caggiula Architects is looking for a: Senior Architect – Head of Design Area Italy

    The successful candidate will be based in the Milan office and will be responsible for all of the firm’s projects in Italy, in particular for the architectural and procedural supervision in accordance with the regulations in force, both independently and as part of a team, and will be able to manage and train other professionals. The Architect will report directly and ultimately to the Partner in charge.

    Main responsibilities

    • Managing the design team from the feasibility study to the building permit
    • Supervising the procedural and authorization process in compliance with regulations
    • Obtaining building permits and similar procedures
    • Supporting clients in defining objectives
    • Preparing and communicating project reports
    • Planning and management with various stakeholders
    • Supporting the firm’s architects and coordinating external professionals
    • Determining and respecting budgets and deadlines
    • Meeting with clients to discuss their needs

    Educational and professional background, work experience and key competences

    • Degree in Architecture, Urban Planning or corresponding training
    • 5-10 years of experience with direct responsibility for obtaining building procedures (PdC and annexes)
    • Familiarity with the main project management standards and methodologies
    • Excellent knowledge of complex architectural projects and large-scale experience
    • Ability to assist in the production and development of all documents, drawings, models, images, diagrams, etc. necessary for the design process and building practices
    • Aptitude for taking responsibility for the managed activities
    • Analytical approach and ability to read the context and anticipate problems
    • Knowledge of procedures and regulations
    • Knowledge of the construction process
    • Strong communication and project management skills
    • In-depth knowledge of design software: Archicad 2D and 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, Office package
    • Qualification as BIM Manager / Coordinator is an asset

    Personal characteristics

    • Native Italian speaker, mastery of additional foreign languages appreciated
    • Knowledge of English proficiency level spoken and written (C2)
    • Ability to lead teams and manage projects
    • Proactive, problem-solving attitude
    • Good interpersonal and presentation skills
    • Entrepreneurial spirit: inclined to work independently
    • Willingness to travel for work
