“Gazes on Material: the truth of making between architecture and art” – a dialogue between art, architecture and materials with some of the main protagonists of architectural design
Rome, 27 June 2024 – During the presentation of his projects, Mino Caggiula emphasized the importance of proportions, the constant search for innovative materials, and the skillful use of natural elements such as water and light, fundamental resources in his work. His desire for innovation and curiosity for hybridization between different disciplines lead to the definition of a holistic approach open to change.
The event “Glances at Matter: The Truth of Making between Architecture and Art”, organized by Diego Mingarelli, CEO of Diasen, a leading company in the production of sustainable solutions based on Mediterranean materials and the regenerative properties of cork, was an exceptional opportunity to explore new visions and innovations in the field of art and architecture. Special guest speaker, Steven Holl, one of the most influential and innovative architects of our time, shared his experiences and thoughts in a lecture entitled ‘Art drives Architecture’.
The meeting, held at the enchanting Roman Aquarium, headquarters of the Order of Architects of Rome, attracted over 400 participants including architects, designers, artists, journalists, and enthusiasts. The event provided a unique opportunity to explore the link between art, architecture, and sustainable materials, and to highlight their importance in shaping our civilization and culture.
